The AEI Advantage

The selection of a State Certified Elevator Inspection Company is an important part of your responsibility to provide a safe environment for tenants and visitors to your facility. Selection should never be made solely on advertisements or pricing. In just a few short years, AEI has outshined the competition to become Florida’s leading inspection company. The AEI Advantage is a straightforward approach, founded on the following principles:

Statewide Coverage

From Tallahassee to the Keys and all places in between, our team inspects more equipment for more clients than anyone else in Florida. All of our prompt, courteous expert inspectors are fully licensed and certified to perform all State Certified Inspection Services, from periodic inspections to construction, modernization, and repair inspections – even accident investigations. For a complete list of inspection services and definitions, please visit the "Resource Center" area of our site where you’ll also find lots of other useful information about inspections.

Customer Service

Our Customer Service is second to none in the Inspection Industry. From the moment of your first call, through the day you receive your certificates, our dedicated Customer Service specialists are there to help manage and navigate the process. We will coordinate directly with your operations staff and, when necessary, your elevator service firm to schedule a time that is mutually convenient for all parties.

After the inspection, we help support you through the corrective action process (if necessary) and make all necessary reports to the Regulating Authorities for your area. Once our final, clear inspection reports are turned in, the Regulating Authorities will issue your new Certificates of Operation.

In the event there is a problem, and/or you don’t receive your certificates for some reason, we will intervene on your behalf – navigating the often complex government bureaucracies involved to get to the heart of the issue, get it resolved, and get your certificates in your hands as quickly as possible.

Team of Experts

When you trust AEI, you’re trusting a team of Florida’s most talented Elevator Industry veterans. Our licensed, certified inspectors average over twenty five years of local elevator industry experience each, some with over thirty years. Our team has done it all and seen it all over the decades, and we put that experience to work for our customers every day in everything we do. From a routine inspection to quickly getting to the bottom of a catastrophic accident, trust the seasoned experts at Associated Elevator Inspections, Inc.

Insurance

The State of Florida only requires Inspection Companies to carry $300,000 in general liability coverage. The vast majority of our competitors carry this minimal level of coverage.

AEI, on the other hand, carries $1,000,000 of general liability coverage per occurrence, and maintains an additional $1,000,000 Professional Liability Policy. Our team’s experience and stellar safety record allows us to carry this very difficult-to-obtain coverage, providing our clients with added piece of mind.

No Hidden Fees

Don’t be fooled by inspection companies offering bargain-basement pricing that sounds too good to be true. More often than not, those companies charge additional fees for services you’re likely to need before the process is complete. The most common are fees for reinspections. Reinspections, or call-back inspections as they are sometimes called, are performed as necessary to verify corrective actions were taken and violations noted on the original Inspection Report have been corrected. The fees for reinspection are often as much as, or more than, the original inspection fee. With AEI, there is no extra charge for most inspections that require reinspection – a dramatic savings, considering an average of one in three elevators inspected is found to have violations requiring corrective action.

Other hidden fees our competitors charge include charges for documentation processing, travel costs, coordination fees, hourly charges if the elevator company (or you) are late for the inspection, courier fees, and much more. At AEI, our fee structures are fair and predictable – making us especially popular with institutional clients who work with Purchase Orders, as eliminating the extra fees means avoiding the time and embarrassment of amending your purchase order and/or budget down the road. Consider the following examples:

Example #1*
